The Village Hall Management Team continue to work hard trying to improve our community facility.
After 20 years of planning and many disappointments along the way, yes it has taken that long! We now have a large unisex disabled cloakroom and baby changing facility. We have also managed to extend our small kitchen area.
We would like to thank our existing hirers for being patient with us and hope that they will resume their groups in the hall. Our prices remain very competitive £15.00 an hour to hirers for those outside Fordham, £12.00 an hour to those who live in the village, but a fantastic fee of £10.00 an hour if you have a regular weekly hire.
Our village hall is over 100 years old and needs constant maintenance; so we need to constantly raise funds for this outlay and to make improvements.
We have replaced the old flooring in the main hall and lobby. At some time we may remove the old storage room and shed with plans to build a new storeroom. So there is much still to think about and our small committee of Trustees will continue to work hard to see these plans come to fruition in the future.
Fordham Times the village magazine requires a new editor and has been unavailble for a while. If you are interested in becoming the editor, please contact The Parish Council Clerk on:- clerk@fordham-pc.gov.uk
